May I find His joy even in my sorrow and His life in my death. To God be the glory!

Finally Finished

The end of nursing school has finally come.

It took three long years to get here, but somehow it went by fast. I have plowed through my studies and in my small amounts of free time enjoyed my family and friends.

The next step is a one way ticket to Congo.

Goodbye to my beautiful family and to all these people who will be great nurses. I know you can do it. Thanks for sharing this part of your life with me.

It's time to leave behind the stacks of books and papers, change my nursing shoes for crocs and go to a land where it's always summer.

Goodbye to blue uniforms and white shoes, to medics and midnight coffee. Goodbye to lonely drives and long classroom hours, donuts and deer in the road, heart monitors and helicopters and all my friends at Watauga Medical Center and Ashe Memorial. You'll be missed.

It's the end of one adventure and the start of another. I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family and it is painful to go our separate ways and say our goodbyes one more time.

Always learning to be more thankful.

I'm so thankful for the opportunity to become a nurse, and also thankful that I'm finally done!
