It was one of those days when nothing goes as planned…
Yeah, pretty much every day is like that. But today the girls were extra loud and disorganized, the baby had an accident on the floor. Again.
The kerosine stove had some issues, I left my towels out in the rain and the clothesline was a total fail. I'll fix it later.
The chickens refused to stay in their pen, the men working on the roof dropped dust and tar onto all my clean dishes.
The ceiling leaked; flooding a corner of the house, AND it was a bad radio day. I’ll explain about bad radio days later.
That’s it for now. Gotta go clean up the mess.

I've had days like that. Somehow it helps to list it out like that. Remember Romans 5:3-5. Suffering...Perseverance...character...hope...hope does not disappoint because has poured out His love into your heart!
One late summer day a couple of years ago we had a big, deep freezer full of summer harvests. It was full to the brim with hours worth of labor, Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and Bryks Farm chickens and homemade chicken broth etc, etc, etc. It happened that the on/off switch was on the side near the bottom, right at toddler height. And sure enough someone innocently turned it off. We discovered it by the smell. Everything was ruined. As I discovered the mess, some cheerful music was playing in the background with the happy words, "All things work together for good for those who love God..." It was a providential juxtaposition. Disappointment and discouragement was real but so was Gods precious promise.
Love you, Kate!
