May I find His joy even in my sorrow and His life in my death. To God be the glory!

"Pancake Sundays"

Instead of "Chicken Sundays" here it is "Pancake Sundays" and I must say this is almost as good. :) Every Sunday Joyce slaves away in a hot kitchen to make pancakes for everybody who wants to come over and then puts out a lovely Sunday feast which is often the best meal of the week - great food and fellowship.

With baking supplies running low, Joyce bought a 50lb bag of flour but discovered it was full of bugs and had a bad smell. "This might be the last Pancake Sunday," she told us this afternoon. "I'll sift it ten times if it means we can keep having Pancake Sundays," Tom said.

Anyway, Cherissa, Joyce and I turned on some music and got down to business; sifting almost the entire bag of flour. There was flour all over the floor and us but we had fun in the process. By the end of it, we had a bowl of bugs and half a dozen bags of mostly clean flour ready to go into the freezer to deaden the remainder.

So Pancake Sundays live on.
